Who is that guy… and why is he covered in chalk dust?
I am Eric M. Maruscak, an artist from upstate NY. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I hope you enjoy your visit.
I have over 15 years experience as an Illustrator and Cartoonist. I originally started with traditional pencil and paper media, but now draw mostly in a digital workspace through programs like Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. My main areas of focus are in Concept Art and Sequential Illustration for comic books and graphic novels.
But I am mostly known as a Chalk Artist. My giant chalk art and street murals have been appearing at festivals and conventions since the summer of 2004. My work has been seen at the New York City Comic Con, the New York Anime Festival, the Baltimore Otakon, a number of the Wizard World shows, and in cities across America including Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles.
So feel free to browse the art, let me know what you do and don’t like, and keep coming back for more drawing goodness! Plus I’ll have updates on my convention appearances and festival murals, photos from my travels, and posts about whatever I happen to find interesting at the time… after all, it is my blog.
To find out more indepth information, check out my first blog which details my drawing supplies and materials.
